Sameer has provided project leadership, expert advice, value engineering, design, checking, construction engineering, analysis, management and technical coordination on several high profile bridge projects across the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, Central America, USA and Australia. He is a chartered civil engineer with more than 35 years of UK and international experience of major bridge projects, particularly cable stayed bridges.

He is an expert on highly specialised methods of bridge design and construction such as cable stayed, balanced cantilever, span-by-span and incremental launching for concrete, steel and composite bridges.

Sam was the project director, technical expert and value engineer for the Sydney Metro (North West Rail Link) project in Australia involving a 4.5km segmental viaduct and a highly complex iconic cable stayed bridge. Sameer’s extensive portfolio of major cable stayed bridge projects further includes Stonecutters Bridge, Hong Kong, Mersey Gateway Project, UK, Queensferry Crossing, UK and Phu My Bridge, Vietnam.

Sam was an independent expert consultant on the world’s biggest ever segmental cable stayed bridge with a record main span.  He was also an independent expert consultant on an iconic cable stayed bridge in the USA. He is an expert in the use of high-end analytical software such as LARSA-4D, CSi Bridge and LUSAS.
