T5 Tramway Line, Nice

 Ingerop, leader of the TramVen consortium, along with its partners EGIS and LA/BA Architecte Urbanisme Paysage, has won the project management contract for the T5 tramway line in the Nice metropolitan area. The T5 line will link the east of Nice to La Trinité and then to Drap, located in the northeast of the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area. The central part of the line is scheduled to open at the end of 2025, with the entire line to be delivered in 2028. The T5 line is expected to carry 50,000 passengers per day and reduce peak-hour vehicle traffic by 20 to 25%.

HS2 C1 Stage 2 Approval

Rendel’s Infrastructure team is absolutely delighted that the Department of Transport has approved and issued a Notice to Proceed to Align to deliver Stage 2 of the C1 package of HS2.

Garacad Seaport, Somalia

Rendel’s ports sector, in collaboration with Ingerop Kenya and Ingerop South Africa, is delivering design review services for the development of the port for Wadaagsan Company.  Our services include consultation and engineering design services, full design review and the optimisation of the design for the ongoing port construction project.

Padma Bridge Opening

The highly challenging construction of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge in Dhaka, Bangladesh has now been completed. The 6.15km-long, 22m-wide bridge has been under construction since 2014. It was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of the Government of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, on 25th June 2022. Aspec Engineering Pty Ltd, joined the Rendel Group in 2022.  Aspec Engineering is a multidisciplinary engineering specialising in material handling, ports, and infrastructure and has offices in Brisbane, (QLD), Perth (WA), Newcastle and Wollongong (NSW).  Rendel and Aspec Engineering have a successful 12-year history of collaboration on various projects in Australia. Notable joint projects include Hay Point Expansion Berth 3, Sydney Metro Northwest Rail Link and the Hay Point Berth 2 Shiploader Replacement Project.

In 2023, T&RS Engineering became a subsidiary of Rendel. Based in the northeast of England, T&RS Engineering has an extensive rail heritage.   Their experience extends beyond passenger traction & rolling stock to include freight and on track plant and machinery. We supply reliable and diverse engineering support to Train Operating Companies, Rolling Stock Leasing Companies and other Rail Service Providers.
