DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Structural design and analysis at a range of project stages including conceptual, preliminary and detailed design
• Checking and analysis of internal and third-party designs
• Value engineering to review designs and assist in finding solutions and improvements for clients
• Finite element analysis and reporting on results
• Carry out site inspections, investigations and supervision for projects, liaising with designers and contractors to support construction works
• Prepare drawings, reports, calculations, analysis and specifications to support submissions to clients
• Contribute to projects by actively participating in internal meetings and collaborating across teams in a multidisciplinary environment and provide support in meetings with Clients and third parties
• Undertake project management and coordination activities, which may include monitoring programmes and budgets, liaising with teams and individuals and reporting progress and updates
• Adopt procedures for standardisation of work products and deliverables, and peer review to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery of the Company’s technical work product

KEY EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• First Class/2:1 Masters Degree in a relevant discipline
• Basic knowledge of Eurocodes and other relevant national and international industry standards
• Basic awareness of forms of contract, construction methodologies and civil engineering procedures
• Desire to work in a consultancy environment on large scale infrastructure project
• Competent in the use of MS Office programmes and ability to develop competence in use of proprietary structural analysis programmes to suit specific role requirements
