Richard, a Chartered civil engineer, boasts over 25 years’ experience gained on major infrastructure projects including highways, railways, bridges, drainage structures and tunnel projects. His expertise encompasses project management, coordination, team leadership, drainage design, and highway design on large multidisciplinary projects, as well as local road, urban, and development projects.
Richard has lent his skills to projects in numerous countries, including Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Ireland, Kenya, Moldova, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UK, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic. Throughout his career, he has held various roles such as Project Director, Project Manager, Principal Highways Engineer, Team Leader, Senior Highways Engineer, and Senior Drainage Engineer.
Richard has worked on projects in the following countries: Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Ireland, Kenya, Moldova, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UK, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. During his career, he has worked as Project Director, Project Manager, Principle Highways Engineer, Team Leader, Senior Highways Engineer and Senior Drainage Engineer.
Richard joined Rendel in 2013, now acting as the Market Sector Director for Linear Infrastructure, following his tenures as a civil engineer on major highways and infrastructure projects for leading international engineering consultants. In his current role, Richard has predominately focused on IFI-funded and PPP highways projects across Europe, Africa and Asia.
