Manhattan Loft Gardens
Rendel is engaged by Bouygues to provide design of foundations for Manhattan Loft Gardens. The 42-storey double-cantilevered tower is situated alongside one of London’s largest and newest transport interchanges (Stratford International Station). The building will contain a 150-room, world-class hotel at the lower levels with a 34-storey, 248-unit residential tower above. The apartments deliver a unique interweaving of single and loft-style apartments, each one can be customised to maximise space, daylight, and views.
The design aims to promote social interaction and reflect the area's diversity. Amenities will include leisure facilities, swimming pool, spa, meeting and conference spaces, and a roof garden that overlooks the Olympic Park. The building also features a series of sky gardens that ensure residents are never more than nine storeys from an outdoor space.
When it completes in 2016, it will be the tallest and most expensive building in Stratford.
