Dan is a key member of Rendel’s leadership team and, over 24 years, he has built up a broad base of engineering experience. He heads up Rendel’s ports and maritime sector as well as the geotechnical team. His expertise also encompasses rail, nuclear and highway projects.
Dan has lead Rendel projects teams in all stages of the project life cycle covering studies, inspections, finite element analysis, design, project planning, project management, preparation of contract documents and drawings, tender evaluation and site/construction supervision. Dan also has significant experience related to contract or tender document preparation and procurement using various forms of contract (including NEC, ICE and FIDIC).
Dan has acted as lead engineer for major maritime projects like Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Vietnam; Al Zour Refinery, Kuwait; and the Independent Design Check of Hay Point Berth 3 Expansion Project, Australia. He was senior engineer on Kochi LNG Terminal in India and on the construction of a rock armour breakwater and beach replenishment in Lyme Regis, UK.
