Celebrating 10 Years of Joining the Ingerop Group

Rendel Limited recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of joining the Ingerop Group, marking the occasion with a fantastic evening alongside our Ingerop colleagues, valued clients, and partners.

Our journey with Ingerop began well before the official partnership in 2015, with successful collaborations on major global infrastructure schemes, most notably the New Europe Bridge, which laid the foundation for our formal integration into the Ingerop Group. Since then, Rendel has grown significantly from team of 50 to over 250 professionals worldwide.

Strong client relationships have driven our expansion, including the opening of our Sydney office in 2018 to support key Australian infrastructure projects such as the Melbourne Metro and the Sydney Metro North West Rail Link. Our presence in Australia deepened further with the acquisition of Aspec Engineering in 2022, a trusted partner with whom we shared a 12-year history of successful project delivery.

In 2023, we welcomed T&RS Engineering into the Rendel and Ingerop family. Their strong reputation in the UK rail sector and pragmatic approach aligned perfectly with our values and service offerings, making the integration a natural fit. Most recently, we’ve continued to grow with the acquisition of Stonebridge Commercial Solutions, enhancing our commercial management capabilities and adding greater resilience and diversity to our services.

A special thank you to Grimshaw for kindly bringing a scale model of the Colne Valley Viaduct (CVV), the UK’s longest railway bridge. Many of our engineers and clients in attendance had the pleasure of contributing to this project during its design and construction.

Also on display was our model of the Thames Barrier, a landmark project that Rendel, then known as Rendel Palmer & Tritton, designed and supervised during its construction in the 1960s. We have remained involved with this project ever since.

Guests also had the opportunity to view our Coventry Very Light Rail (CVLR) track slab model, which showcases a revolutionary design for very light rail transit. This system has recently begun demonstrating its capabilities on a dedicated test track.
