Engineer – Maritime – Perth

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer – Maritime to join our expanding team in Perth, working alongside colleagues from our subsidiary Aspec Engineering.

About our role:

You will make waves in a dynamic and rewarding environment, working on challenging maritime projects ranging from dredging and coastal defences to bulk export terminals, subsea structures, and renewable energy projects. Some of the day to day tasks will include:

  • Undertake structural design and analysis using design software across a broad range of structural types and using various international standards
  • Deliver engineering solutions and reporting results to managers and clients
  • Assist in the management of the design process that may include other related design disciplines/teams
  • Coordinate design as part of an internal team and liaise with external associated professionals and our clients
  • Undertake and support the leadership and delivery of assignments, maximising fee income

About you:

  • Degree Qualified Engineer with experience in a design consultancy
  • Structural engineering experience on major infrastructure projects for a range of clients, in various construction market sectors
  • Knowledge and experience in structural analysis/finite element software such as Midas, SPACE GASS or similar
  • Excellent Microsoft Office abilities (particularly Excel)
  • Knowledge and experience with OPTIMOOR or similar berthing/mooring analysis package
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively to all levels both internally and with external clients
