Jimmy Brasse

Jimmy Brasse has over 23 years’ experience delivering multidisciplinary projects across the UK’s railway and highway sectors. He brings extensive expertise in bridge design, inspection, assessment, repair, strengthening works and construction supervision alongside significant experience in rail possessions, site investigation management and the design of temporary works, metros, retaining walls, foundations and lift shafts.  Jimmy also has a strong background in both project and design management.

Jimmy is currently Team Leader of Rendel’s Bridges and Structures team and leads business development activities for the UK bridges market.  He also chairs the Ingerop Group’s ‘Scientific and Technical Direction’ (DST) Committee for bridges and major structures. The DST brings together specialists from across the global Ingerop Group to share knowledge, promote best practice and strengthen technical collaboration.

Jimmy has acted as Assignment Manager for Rendel on a wide range of UK schemes, including the new Entry/Exit System (EES) zones on the Eurotunnel’s Folkestone terminal, the Ironbridge access bridge study, Tyne Tunnel (TT2) General and Principal Inspections, and High Speed 2 (HS2) C2C3 Category 3 checking of overbridges and culverts. Jimmy has also held Project Director roles on several major schemes, including the Ironbridge access bridge study, Neath structures temporary works design, East West Rail east abutment bearing replacement, Trevor Basin lift footbridge and NOS 08 Sewer bridge renewal scheme Category 3 check.

Jimmy works closely with key clients such as Network Rail and the National Highways across a range of framework commissions and has extensive experience collaborating with contractors and local authorities on design and build projects.
