International engineering consultancy Rendel Limited, a subsidiary of the French-owned Ingerop Group, has purchased a controlling interest in Stonebridge Commercial Solutions Limited, a contract, risk and dispute resolution consultancy based in the UK, with a global clientele.  Stonebridge Commercial Solutions specialise in providing business focussed solutions to commercial issues on major international construction projects.

Rendel’s managing director, Vardaman Jones said:

The wealth of experience Stonebridge Commercial Solutions has in providing commercial advice and support on complex infrastructure projects will complement current Rendel’s service lines. Our relationship with Michael Nelson, managing director of Stonebridge Commercial Solutions, dates back more than ten years and our businesses’ shared values, beliefs in key client focus and providing tangible added value to the projects on which we are engaged, puts us in a strong position to further grow and develop both businesses in the future.”

Yves Metz, Chairman of the Ingerop Group said:

“Stonebridge Commercial Solutions is a new strong asset for the Ingerop Group. This acquisition will add to the excellence of our engineering capability and shares many synergies with the rest of the Group. Welcome to Michael Nelson and the employees of Stonebridge Commercial Solution!”

Stonebridge Commercial Solutions was founded in 2016 by Michael Nelson, a qualified barrister, solicitor (not practising) and chartered quantity surveyor. This Scottish company has recently provided services on global mega-projects, including hospitals, gold mines, nuclear power plants, international airports, mass-transit heavy rail, LNG plants, desalination plants, LNG power plants, jet fuel facilities and major infrastructure works.

Micheal Nelson, managing director of Stonebridge Commercial Solutions said:

“I am delighted that Stonebridge’s expertise will complement Rendel’s already considerable wealth of skills and experience and I am excited that we can now offer our clients solutions based upon our combined deep understanding of major infrastructure projects, from both an engineering and a commercial viewpoint.”
