It is with great pride that we announce that two of our engineers have completed their Initial Professional Development (IPD) under Rendel’s Institution of Civil Engineers Training Scheme; demonstrating that they have achieved the required level in all seven Attributes to be able to undertake the Chartered Professional Review.

Federica Martorano, engineer, and Stoyan Bukikov, highways engineer, have also been formally signed off by the ICE’s Membership Development Officer and will continue to consolidate their experience and work towards undertaking the Professional Review later this year. We look forward to seeing them both achieve their next milestones.

Federica and Stoyan have shown enthusiasm, determination and diligence throughout the whole process, and we congratulate them on this milestone towards achieving Chartered Engineer status.

Rendel operates an ICE Approved Training Scheme, providing structured training towards achieving Chartered Engineer status. We have three Board Directors who act as Supervising Civil Engineers (SCEs) to oversee our ICE Training Scheme and a team of 30 Delegated Engineers (DEs) and SCEs. We also support staff through other routes to Chartered status such as Career Appraisals.

We have nearly 40 engineers working towards Chartered Engineer status, including 24 engineers on our ICE Training Scheme. In the last 12 months we announced the achievement of professional qualifications via the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK by six of our employees.
