One of the UK’s oldest Civil Engineering Consultancies focuses on core skills and is re-established as Rendel Limited

Rendel Limited now comprises the whole of the specialist civil and structural engineering division of High-Point Rendel and will continue to focus on the delivery of engineering services in the bridges, geotechnical, highways, maritime and tunnelling fields. Rendel Limited is now a fully owned subsidiary of the French consultancy company Ingérop.

Rendel Limited, a leading civil and structural engineering company, originally Rendel Palmer & Tritton, was founded in the UK in 1838 by James Meadows Rendel, and celebrated its 175th Anniversary in 2013. The firm provides award-winning services in the transport, infrastructure and process sectors around the world.

Ingerop was formed in 1992 from the merger of INTER G and SEEE, and is owned entirely by its employees. Ingerop employs more than 1,500 staff, with around 200 employees located outside France, mainly in Europe, South America, North Africa and Southern Africa. Ingerop is distinctive in that it delivers large engineering projects and local engineering projects, undertaking project management and technical engineering in infrastructure, town planning/public transportation, water/environment, buildings, energy and industrial facilities.

Rendel Limited and Ingerop have worked together on the New Europe Bridge across the Danube between Bulgaria and Romania, and as part of the design team, supporting the Balfour Beatty/Bouygues consortium, for the tender design of the Mersey Gateway Project.

Rendel Limited, as a subsidiary of the Ingerop Group, will have access to engineering, environmental and planning resources sufficient for most large scale infrastructure projects. Rendel Limited will continue to provide the same high quality, client orientated services but with Ingerop’s backing, provide a broader range of skills and resources.
