Rendel and Ingerop to open office in Australia
Rendel and Ingerop have opened an office in Australia in response to requests from our key clients to support them in the country’s growing infrastructure sector. The permanent presence will build on Rendel’s established experience across Australia.
The office in Sydney will be headed up by Virginie Lanfrey, an ex-Ingerop employee, who has been based in Australia for several years. Virginie will work in close contact with key staff in Rendel’s head office in London. Specialist technical support on projects will be provided by the London office and our colleagues from Ingerop in France.
Rendel already has a long history in Australia and, most recently, completed work on the £230 million Sydney Metro Northwest skytrain project in Sydney, which was the largest infrastructure project in Australia. Other Australian projects include Hay Point Coal Terminal in Queensland; Ichthys Project Onshore LNG Facilities in Darwin; Browse LNG Development Marine Facilities, Broome; Gorgon LNG Pioneer Materials Offloading Facility, Barrow Island; and the RG Tanna Coal Terminal in Queensland.
Vardaman Jones, Managing Director of Rendel said, “We are very excited to bring our global expertise to the Australian market. We have some very strong local relationships and we are very pleased to have Virginie Lanfrey head up our activities in Sydney.”
