Rendel’s head of Australian office achieves academic success

We are very proud and pleased to announce that Virginie Lanfrey, who heads up Rendel’s office in Sydney, Australia has successfully achieved Chartered Status in Civil Engineering and Project Management and is now registered on the Australian National Engineering Register.

Rendel and Ingerop opened an office in Australia in 2018 and our permanent presence in Sydney has built on Rendel’s established experience across Australia and helped us to secure a role on Australia’s largest infrastructure projects such as WestConnex and North East Link.

Virginie Lanfrey is a chartered engineer with 18 years of experience in managing and delivering infrastructure projects of all sizes for state and local government, and for contractors in France and Australia. She is a Certified Practising Project Manager with the Australian Institute of Project Management and holds a Diploma of Project Management. Her broad base of experience covers studies, design, project planning, project management, preparation of contract documents and drawings, tender evaluation and site/construction supervision.

Virginie is an ex-Ingerop employee, who has been based in Australia for several years. She works closely Rendel’s head office in London with specialist technical support on projects provided by the London office and our colleagues from Ingerop in France.

Rendel’s long history in Australia includes the £230 million Sydney Metro Northwest skytrain project in Sydney, which has been the largest infrastructure project in Australia. Other Australian projects include Hay Point Coal Terminal in Queensland; Ichthys Project Onshore LNG Facilities in Darwin; Browse LNG Development Marine Facilities; Gorgon LNG Pioneer Materials Offloading Facility, Barrow Island; and the RG Tanna Coal Terminal in Queensland.
