Virginie Lanfrey made a Fellow of Engineers Australia

Virginie Lanfrey, who heads up Rendel Ingerop Pty Ltd in Sydney, Australia, has been made a Fellow of Engineers Australia (FIEAust). Virginie was invited to apply for the Fellowship by the National Committee for Women in Engineering (NCWiE).

Virginie Lanfrey has been the head up Rendel’s Sydney office since it opened in 2018. She is a chartered engineer with over 18 years of experience in managing and delivering infrastructure projects of all sizes for state and local government, and for contractors. She is a Certified Practising Project Manager with the Australian Institute of Project Management and holds a Diploma of Project Management. Her broad base of experience covers studies, design, project planning, project management, preparation of contract documents and drawings, tender evaluation and site/construction supervision across the bridges, ports, tunnelling and road sectors.

The NCWiE aims to increase the inclusivity of the engineering profession and supports and advises Engineers Australia’s goals of increasing the number of women in engineering. Fellows of Engineers Australia are recognised as being amongst the leaders of the industry and profession.  To become a Fellow, Virginie had to demonstrate that she had sustained major responsibility in the design or execution of important engineering work and achieved exceptional eminence in the profession.
