The Dubai Metro is the world’s longest, fully automated metro network, spanning 75 kilometres. The Red Line (53 kilometres with 5.5 kilometres in tunnels and 29 stations) and Green Line (23 kilometres with 8 kilometres in tunnels and 20 stations) are operational, with a further three lines planned. The first section of the Red Line, covering 10 stations, was inaugurated at 9:09:09 PM on 9 September 2009.

Rendel provided support to major stakeholders involved in the delivery of this project.

Rendel was engaged because the project was experiencing very substantial changes to station finishes. as well as the mechanical and electrical installation requirements within a framework of a fixed completion date.
