Rendel has appointed Antonio Perez as Director of its newly established Adelaide office in South Australia. His responsibilities will include identifying and pursuing new projects, creating partnerships and alliances, and overseeing the delivery of infrastructure projects in Adelaide and the wider South Australian region. Antonio is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in Australia and a Chartered Member of Engineers Australia (MIEAust).
Antonio has over 25 years’ experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects across Australia and Europe, working collaboratively with both clients and contractors on design-and-build schemes. He has extensive experience in leadership, design, coordination, and construction support across a wide range of sectors, including high-speed and conventional rail, roads, marine, mining, industrial facilities, stadia and sporting venues, and airports, on both brownfield and greenfield sites.
Antonio commenced his career in Sydney and later moved to Perth where he spent several years working in the mining, maritime and industrial sectors; in particular on Rio Tinto’s port expansion at Cape Lambert and BHP’s Southflank Mine. Antonio has recently returned home to Australia from the UK where he led Rendel’s underground structures team and delivered major projects across road (Lower Thames Crossing Tunnel), conventional and high speed rail (Crossrail and High Speed 2).
Antonio relocated back to Australia in late 2025 to establish Rendel’s presence in South Australia through the opening of its Adelaide office. His appointment is focused on growing the Adelaide-based team and serving as a key point of contact for Rendel’s existing clients in the region.
Antonio Perez said, “Our move to Adelaide is the start of an exciting new chapter for Rendel Ingerop and Aspec Engineering and marks the next stage in our growth in Australia. We are strengthening links to key clients in South Australia and look forward to establishing relationships with the leading players in Adelaide’s active infrastructure sector.”
