Si Shen Wins ICE Award

We are delighted to announce that our Market Sector Director for Ground Engineering, Si Shen, has won Mentor of the Year at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) London Awards 2026.
Si is a Chartered and Incorporated Engineer with over 17 years of experience in the design and delivery of major tunnelling projects. At Rendel, he provides technical leadership and guidance to project teams, delivering integrated geotechnical and structural engineering solutions for tunnels and underground infrastructure.
This recognition reflects Si’s dedication to mentoring and supporting engineers in their professional development, as well as Rendel’s wider commitment to nurturing engineering talent.
