The Durrat Al Bahrain Highway forms a key part of the National Loop Road of Bahrain, providing access from the capital and the northern and central parts of the country to the major resort and residential development at Ras al Barr in the south of Bahrain – a hallmark resort island city and Bahrain’s most inspiring development. Its start is situated approximately 25 kilometres from the capital Manama. This USD $48 million trunk road is approximately 27 kilometres long with five grade-separated interchanges and provisions for future widening.

Rendel’s scope included preparation of concept design, tender documents and evaluation of the 27-kilometre-long dual carriageway highway link, including five grade-separated interchanges. Further responsibilities included project management and supervision of construction.
